How It Works

01

Services

Choose the right service.

Start by identifying the product question that matters most, then match it to the research service built to answer it clearly.

02

Support Model

Set the right support level.

Use flexible models so the work fits the scope, speed, and collaboration level the team actually needs.

03

What You Get

Get higher-quality insights.

The result is a practical read on what users need, where risk lives, and what the team should do next.

Support Models

Ways to work with Caliber.

Choose the level of support that best fits the scope, pace, and closeness of collaboration needed.

Partner Lite

Occasional guidance for contained product questions.

Best for teams that need senior research support on a smaller scope without committing to a deeply embedded model.

Typical Range

$3K-$5K / month

Typical Cadence

One focused project at a time

  • Smaller-scope audits, evaluations, and launch checks
  • Quick feedback loops and a standing research partner
  • Good for teams with occasional questions that still matter

Embedded

Closer collaboration for active product development.

Best when the team is building quickly and needs research to keep pace with live roadmap and design decisions.

Typical Range

$6K-$9K / month

Typical Cadence

Two to three projects a month

  • Weekly check-ins and ongoing product input
  • Validation, iterative research, and roadmap guidance
  • Built for teams actively shipping and learning as they go

Fractional

Senior research leadership without a full-time hire.

Best when research needs to shape broader direction, priorities, and team decision-making over time.

Typical Range

$10K-$15K+ / month

Typical Cadence

Ongoing leadership across the function

  • Owns the plan, the work, and the research direction
  • Supports bigger framing, prioritization, and strategy questions
  • Best for orgs needing senior research leadership before building a full function

Founder and Lead Researcher, Caliber Studios

I started Caliber Studios to give product founders, product leads, and design teams access to senior UX research support in moments where clearer thinking matters most. The goal is not to add more process or fail fast. It is to bring better product judgment backed by quality research, rooted in answering the right questions.

My background spans discovery research, evaluative research, concept testing, information architecture, and product strategy support. I work closely with teams to turn what users need into direction that is actually usable.

Teams that want a thoughtful research partner who can clarify what to do next.

Contact + FAQ

Questions before reaching out?

A few quick answers about how Caliber works, what to expect, and how to start the conversation.

How do I know which service fits?
Start with the product question in front of the team. If you are not sure which engagement fits, send a short note and I can recommend the best starting point.
Do I need to know the support model first? +
No. Most teams start with the product question or service they think they need, and we shape the support model from there. If you already know you want a lighter, more embedded, or more strategic partnership, that helps, but it is not required.
What happens after I reach out? +
I will usually reply with a few follow-up questions about what your team is working on, what feels uncertain, and what kind of timeline you are aiming for. From there, I can recommend a service, a support model, or a more tailored starting point if the work does not fit neatly into one option.
How quickly do you respond? +
Typically within one to two business days. If the request is time-sensitive, mention that in your note and I will do my best to respond sooner.
